Sand and Water
Pulled from the writings and ruins of ancient Egypt, these works are an homage to the time of Queen Hatshepsut. The interlaced hand-torn pieces of discolored book pages convey a layered approach symbolizing an ancient belief system composed of a multitude of intricacies. The entire body of work includes found object sculpture which allude to important Egyptian memorials, artifacts, and practices including funerary vessels and mummification.
